In November 2005, El Semanario de lo insólito, the Mexican version of The Weekly World News, published a feature on Ilán Lieberman, the amazing Human Photocopier: he turns any scrap of paper into a work of art! and can copy anything by hand, just like a photocopying machine!

This article coincided with Lieberman's exhibition Desperdicio (Waste) at Celda Contemporánea in Mexico City.
Here are the works exhibited in Waste and featured in El Semanario de lo insólito. These are photographs, not of the objects themselves but of the handmade copies--imitations, facsimiles, reproductions, replicas, forgeries, counterfeits, fakes, knockoffs--of those objects. Click on any image to enlarge it, and you may be able to see traces of the artist's hand.
